Program Requirements

  • No Pre-requisites, except all Students must have a minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent and will be allowed 6 months to complete each course
  • CLP must have 3 years Industry experience prior to conferring awarding of CLP and must be completed in 3 years.
  • 5 Course Certification must have at least 2 years experience prior to conferring award and must be completed in 2 ½ years.
  • 4 Course Certification or less must have at least 1 year experience prior to conferring award and must be completed in 2 years for 4 courses and 18 months for 3 courses.
  • No experience to merely take a single course prior to conferring award.
  • Each Student who achieves one or more of the ILM Certification offerings will receive the following: a Certificate of Achievement for each individual course that is satisfactorily completed, and additionally a Certificate in recognition of meeting all criteria for the area of Specialization for their Certification i.e. CLP, SCP, LP, MCP etc. The Certification is awarded without additional examinations or testing. ILM is an accredited school which will be shown on all Certificates.
  • All students may elect to complete the course work in less time than allowed. Course work is independently paced by the student and the school will always accommodate the speed of the student.
  • Acceptance of ILM courses/recommended credits toward other Institutions' Programs, is determined by the Receiving Institution.
  • All courses Articulated with University of Phoenix
  • Listed in the ACE Directory (American Council on Education) of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions, in conjunction with CHEA (Council of Higher Education).
  • Approved for Tuition Assistance for all Military Branches by Department of Defense, as well as VA/GI Bill benefits through VA.
  • Satisfactory completion of the Hazardous Materials Compliance Course simultaneously also meets all criteria for HAZMAT Training required by the United States Department of Transportation.

The additional Certifications offered 2/1/09, may include some courses that a student may have previously taken during the past 3 years for which they will receive full credit, without re-taking each course. However, no credits will be granted for courses taken prior to the most recent 3 years. Also, courses previously taken to attain a CLP (within the past 3 years), and/or other Practitioner certificates may not be subsequently used to satisfy the full requirements and granting of an additional Certification, without completing a minimum of 1 additional course.

Examinations

Students taking the Final Exam, are required to arrange for a local academic institution, i.e. a high school or community college, or the Human Resources Department of their employer, to proctor the Final Exam and return it to ILM.
